sup hoover? how are you handling the stress?

Is our universe ever-expanding? Einstein thought so. Does this mean that all the matter within the universe is expanding in conjunction with the universe? Are we all expanding along with the universe but unable to notice because everything else around us is expanding at the same rate and thus our perspective is unaltered? If even the instruments by which we would measure such expansion are themselves expanding, would this render us unable to ever quantify such expansion? If so, then this is a theory which can never be tested nor observed. Unless you used math, which is far too much trouble.
