I'm now registered with the State Bar of California. It's a small step, but so far it's the only step that's actually required me to lay down any money.

The next step is filling out a 30-page Determination of Moral Character application. So they can know if I'm moral enough to practice law in California. The irony of that defies comment.

I just hope they don't find out that I only pulled a C+ in our Legal Ethics course. I may be clothed in the righteousness of Christ, but apparently I'm not ethical enough to be a lawyer. After all, these people have standards to keep.
